Are you looking for an easy free online website builder? Having your website builder completely online is important. I remember back in the day…( love that phrase BTW) , we needed software installed on our computer, we built websites with html coding and uploaded the sites via FTP ( File Transfer Protocol ) software. Setting up a hosting account was a challenge in itself. Hosting fees were expensive from anyone that actually provided support. Having the software and code hosted on a computer made it kind of hard to update from remote locations. I remember telling clients, “Let me get back to the office to fix that for you”. If I would have had sites built like they are now, I could have simply logged in from their location or anywhere I could get on the web and quickly make some updates on the website.
There are a lot of companies that offer services with online site builders. You may have heard of some of these; Google, Yahoo, WordPress, Blogger. All of these have free versions of software that is hosted online that will allow you to build a site. Depending on your website content and target audience, you may need to be careful about building sites on those services. They can change. I remember last year, Microsoft discontinued a free service they offered to businesses. It causes a lot of companies problems with sites going down. Hosting a company website on free hosting is risky, but its not completely wrong.
If you have never heard of WordPress, then you may need to do some research. Its one of the top Content Management Systems (CMS) being used to build websites. The software is FREE. Building a website with WP with just a little training is possible in just a few minutes. I reference a video on this website where a friend of mine built a WordPress website in less than 30 seconds. I think that is pretty impressive!
Want to try it out yourself? Creating the access account is FREE, it may take you more than 30 seconds.
After you join and confirm your account login, watch the video and you too can have a FREE WordPress website hosted at no charge.
This site you are viewing now was built on this FREE platform from Wealthy Affiliate.
